DSM Food Specialties has launched its non-gelatin, vegetarian-approved, beta carotene beadlets under the CaroCare® brand name. Designed for use in the production of single beta-carotene, multivitamin, antioxidant and mixed carotenoid tablets or two-piece hard shell capsules, CaroCare 7.5% vegetarian beadlets can also be labeled non-GMO, kosher and preservative free. In addition, the company says the vegetarian beadlets display excellent flow properties for easy handling, good particle size distribution and high strength during tableting with resistance to pressures up to 63 tons/in(2).
